Concrete Lofts

Today we worked in a place called Concrete Lofts right across from MacArther Park in Los Angeles. Someone bought 3 units and took down the walls in between and made one unit. The outside of the building looks like a honey comb in concrete. The view was spectacular! 180 degree view!

The second location today. This is Steve,on the Warner lot today. Not sure if you can see the clouds wrapped around the hill. Beautiful.We were working in the rain again and I had to blow dry the model every 120 secs because she was so wet. Oh yes and a fan blowing on her also. What a trooper. But then she IS from Siberia !

More pictures taken with my iPhone hipstomatic. God I love it! This time I am at a location with a pool and once again wish I was a photographer for fashion. It is so inspiring. Especially when it is with an amazing crew.

 

Queen Mary

This is the first time I have been on the Queen Mary boat and for a fashion shoot no less. What a great place! I could not stop taking pictures and I intend to go back again! It was a little sad for me as those days of quality and good taste are gone. Wish I had the models with me to shoot. It makes me want to pick up my good camera and start shooting.

 

Oreo

I just love this business. You meet people from all over the world and listen to their stories and how so different yet how much we are the same. These girls were amazing and one whom told me amazing stories of Sudan and how she lived and where she is today! They are both so mesmerizing to look at as well. I just had to get a picture with them as I am Casper the ghost next to them. We shot pictures with them with lots of bright colors and graphic images. Ring light that really popped. I had a break as the girls had short hair. Nice to have that every once and awhile as it can be so demanding sometimes!

 

After work carnival ride

Went to Malibu again for work. Had a great day then had a carnival ride up the steepest driveway you ever saw. By then time I started recording we had gone up a 160 degree climb! It was steep for all that it’s worth.

Century City Fashion

Today we dodged the rain And i took this shot of the model while waiting for the next setup. Clouds and sun and tall reflective buildings makes for a perfect shot of Mark Jacobs glasses. Century City. Such a strange place to me. So much big expensive spaces and buildings with hardly anyone around.
